Beef Cattle

The state's cattle industry accounts for approximately one-half of Oklahoma's agriculture economy. There are 60,000 farms and ranches in Oklahoma that raise cattle. State cattle numbers top 5.5 million head. Oklahoma is one of only nine states in the nation where people are out-numbered by cattle!
