Oklahoma is home to more than 326,000 horses. More than 117,000 Oklahomans are involved in the industry as horse owners, service providers, employees and volunteers. The industry itself provides 12,400 jobs. Oklahoma City is the horse show capital of the world, while Purcell is the Quarter Horse capital of the world.
