Pottawatomie County's top crops and livestock are peanuts, hay, and cattle. Pottawatomie County is home to the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center, Oklahoma Baptist University, St. Gregory's University, Mabee-Gerrer Museum, Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech, Historical Santa Fe Depot, and the Shawnee Mall.
