Food Check-Out Week wrap-up
March 1st, 2010The Oklahoma Farm Bureau women's committee celebrated Food Check-Out Week Feb. 21-27.
The women purchased and donated food to the Ronald McDonald Houses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

It's Food Check-Out Weeek 2010
February 23rd, 2010State Farm Bureaus will share tips on “Stretching Your Grocery Dollar With Healthy, Nutritious Food,” as the organization celebrates Food Check-Out Day 2010.
Farm Bureau women across the country will provide consumers with ideas and strategies for purchasing nutritious and affordable food items.
American Farm Bureau has also started a Food Check-Out Week Facebook page, and will donate $1 to Ronald McDonald House charities for every Facebook user who becomes a fan, up to $5000.
Oklahoma Farm Bureau women's committee members will be making food donations to Oklahoma's Ronald McDonald houses.
Committee members will shop for groceries and purchase gift cards for the houses. The value of the donations will total more than $2,000.
Tulsa County Women showcase their work in Seattle
January 10th, 2010The Tulsa County Farm Bureau women's committee built a greenhouse for inner-city students attending Tulsa's Kendall-Whittier elementary school in March 2009. For their work with the school, Tulsa County was selected to be a County Activities of Excellence participant by the American Farm Bureau Federation. The Tulsa County women are showcasing their greenhouse project at the trade show at the American Farm Bureau national Convention in Seattle, Wa., Jan. 10-13.
