2026 District Farm & Ranch Family recognition program information submission form
Congratulations on being selected as your district’s Farm & Ranch Family recognition recipient for 2026!
Please complete the information in the form below, which will be used to prepare for your district farm and ranch family in-person photo and video shoot. Please note that once you select your county, the form will auto-fill with information you previously submitted for your county Farm Bureau award. Please review and verify this information is correct, and make any changes necessary.
Our OKFB Communications Department will gather the information from all district families and contact them by phone to set up a shoot date. Please note that we make every effort to accomodate scheduling needs and request from each family.
Below we have included some of the common questions we receive about the photo and video shoots specifically.
What to expect during your Farm & Ranch Family photo and video shoot
WHAT TO EXPECT
The OKFB communications division will contact each farm and ranch family some time in August or September to schedule an on-farm photo and video shoot for September or October. We typically schedule shoots beginning in the late afternoon (usually starting around 4:30 p.m.)
OKFB communications staff will visit each farm and ranch family to shoot photos, video and record an audio interview to use in recognizing the hard work and dedication of each family.
HOW LONG WILL THE SHOOT TAKE?
Each photo and video shoot usually takes several hours, but the time required varies depending on each family’s operation, and how much time is necessary to capture their story.
WHAT KIND OF QUESTIONS WILL YOU ASK?
During the interview, which is audio only and not on-camera, we will ask you about your agricultural operation, the history of your operation, your contributions to your community, why you do what you do, and more. We are looking for any details that will help us share your family’s story.
WHAT WILL YOU TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEO OF?
Our communications staff aims to capture the full variety of farm and ranch activity each family undertakes. We prefer to capture “real work” images and video whenever possible, so having a few daily tasks lined up during the shoot is helpful as we strive to show the full spectrum of farm and ranch activity.
We will also capture some posed family photos. The family members present for each photo and video shoot is up to the farm and ranch family themselves. The communications staff is happy to
accommodate whoever you would like to appear in the photos.
HOW WILL THE PHOTOS AND VDIEO BE USED?
The photos, video and audio we capture will be used to recognize the families at the OKFB state convention, in OKFB’s Oklahoma Country magazine, on social media and more. We also use these photos into the future as we work to promote the work of Farm Bureau and Oklahoma agriculture.
