With more than 1,600 members, Cherokee County Farm Bureau is one of 77 county Farm Bureaus that comprise the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Federation.

Cherokee County is home to the Cherokee Nation Capital and Northeastern State University, which is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning west of the Mississippi River. Some of our biggest attractions include the Illinois River, Lake Tenkiller and Fort Gibson Lake.

Our main commodities are cattle and hay. We are active in our community and strive to support our local farmers and ranchers as well members of other endeavors. We provide scholarships to high school seniors, support our local 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters, sponsor awards for the Cherokee County Livestock Show and host events all throughout the year to promote agriculture as a way of life.
