Farm Bureau members, counties honored at OKFB’s 84th annual meeting

Oklahoma Farm Bureau honored achievements and accomplishments of the organization’s members during the past year at OKFB’s annual awards banquet held Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City. Awards were presented to county Farm Bureaus for outstanding achievement in advocating for agriculture and Oklahoma’s rural communities with Presidential Star Awards, the John I. Taylor Award, the Lewis H. Munn Award and more. Awards were also given to young farmers and ranchers, members of Oklahoma’s agriculture community, and nine farm and ranch families who were recognized for upholding our state’s richest agricultural traditions. Oklahoma Farm Bureau recently presented its District Administrator of the Year awards at the organization’s 84th annual meeting Nov. 7-9 in Oklahoma City. The District Administrator of the Year Award is presented to one county Farm Bureau administrator from each OKFB district for their contributions to the overall success of their county Farm Bureau organization. County administrators conduct the daily operations of the county Farm Bureau and help meet the needs of members. Comanche County Farm Bureau hosts third-annual Farm Field Days for area students in Lawton

Comanche County Farm Bureau hosted their annual three-day Farm Field Days event Sept. 2-4 at the Comanche County Fairgrounds in Lawton. More than 1,500 elementary-age students from schools around Comanche County and surrounding counties attended the agriculture-focused event. The Sullivan family, Comanche County Farm Bureau members, coordinated the event along with help from surrounding ag community members. The event featured a variety of agriculture-focused stations including animal husbandry, farm equipment, aquaculture, grain commodities, forestry, equine, farm services and landscaping. Noble County Farm Bureau hosts annual ice cream social in Perry

 Noble County Farm Bureau hosted their annual ice cream social, Monday, July 14, at the Noble County fairgrounds in Perry. Noble County Farm Bureau members gathered to enjoy ice cream, homemade desserts and hear from local legislators and candidates running in elections in the coming year. The Noble County Women’s Leadership Committee provided a variety of homemade desserts with ice cream and all the fixings for members to enjoy. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members around the state are invited to gather and discuss the issues and policies impacting agriculture at the organization’s annual August Area Meetings. The meetings serve as the beginning of Farm Bureau’s grassroots policy development season. OKFB members are encouraged to bring their ideas for potential changes and updates to the organization’s policy that will help agriculture and rural Oklahoma. In addition to policy discussions, updates on numerous OKFB programs and events will be shared by committee members and staff. LeFlore, Rogers County Farm Bureaus recognized with national awards at 2025 AFBF convention

Oklahoma’s LeFlore County Farm Bureau and Rogers County Farm Bureau were each recognized with County Activities of Excellence Awards at the 2025 American Farm Bureau convention in San Antonio in January. Payne County Farm Bureau was honored with the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Lewis H. Munn Award on Saturday, Nov. 9, during the organization’s 83rd annual meeting in Oklahoma City. Also known as the Farm Bureau Builders Award, this award is presented each year to the county that conducts the strongest program in a chosen area. This year, the program area was membership growth and development.
