Chaney joins OKFB communications as spring intern

February 11, 2025

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau communications department has selected Oklahoma State University student Rianna Chaney as the 2025 spring communications intern.

Chaney, a native of Keymar, Maryland, is studying agricultural communications at OSU with minors in agricultural leadership and event management.

During her internship, Chaney will assist the OKFB communications department by writing news and feature stories, developing print products, creating social media content, updating the organization’s website, covering various Farm Bureau events and Rianna Chaneymore.

“From a young age, I have been surrounded by agriculture and have developed a passion for the industry,” Chaney said. “I hope to gain more knowledge and experience during my internship so I can give back to the agriculture industry.”

Chaney grew up on a cow/calf operation in her home state of Maryland and was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA where she competed in livestock and dairy judging, team sales, skill-a-thon and showed cattle and pigs.

She also co-authored a nine-volume children’s book series, which teaches students from elementary school through junior high where their food comes from.

Chaney plans to graduate from OSU in May 2026.
