OKFB to host FFA Communications Conference July 13 in Edmond

Registration is now open for Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s sixth-annual FFA Communications Conference on Monday, July 13, in Edmond. The FFA Communications Conference will equip students with knowledge of basic communications techniques and concepts in areas including writing, photography, social media and more, all taught by leading Oklahoma communications professionals. The conference will be held in Edmond at the Hilton Garden Inn. Whispers of an early adjournment for the 2026 Oklahoma legislature started swirling at the midpoint of session, and as of early May, the state legislature was largely moving toward an early close of business. 2025 OKFB YF&R Summer Conference

Oklahoma Farm Bureau will host its annual Young Farmers & Ranchers Conference July 17-19 in the Altus area to expand the horizons of young agriculturalists. The three-day event will feature tours of southwest Oklahoma agricultural operations and facilities, organizational updates and the opportunity to connect with fellow young agriculturalists from around the state. Nearly 50 Oklahoma Farm Bureau members traveled to the Hoosier state April 27-30 to learn about Indiana agriculture with OKFB’s 2026 Ag Tour. Indiana was selected as the destination for the 2026 tour after previous OKFB President Rodd Moesel made a friendly wager with Indiana Farm Bureau President Randy Kron during the 2025 NBA Finals as the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Indiana Pacers. Legislative update: 2026 legislative session nears the finish line after final major committee deadline

The end of the 2026 Oklahoma legislative session is on the horizon as lawmakers enter the last few weeks of work at the state Capitol. With the sine die deadline just under a month away, bills are making their way through the legislative process on the opposite side of the rotunda from which they began. OKFB WLC holds annual conference for Farm Bureau women in Norman

More than 120 Oklahoma Farm Bureau women from around the state gathered for a weekend of fellowship, service and learning during the 2026 OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee’s annual statewide conference April 24-25 at the Embassy Suites in Norman. The conference featured group tours, breakout sessions, a silent auction and networking opportunities. The conference kicked off Friday, April 24, with a trip to Selah, an urbanism community in Norman, where members had lunch at Pryor’s Pizza Kitchen and toured Evergreen Academy, a learner-driven, self-paced education academy that breaks away from traditional school models. YFR Scholarship Winners

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee has awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to one high school senior from each OKFB district and a $1,000 scholarship to a Collegiate Farm Bureau member. Schulz joins OKFB as southwest field representative

Ben Schulz, Oklahoma Farm Bureau Southwest field representative

Ben Schulz has joined the Oklahoma Farm Bureau field services team as the new southwest field representative. In his position, Schulz will serve as a liaison between 13 county Farm Bureaus in southwestern Oklahoma and the OKFB home office. He will work to connect Farm Bureau members and leaders with the organization’s programs, activities and advocacy efforts while sharing news and information from southwestern Oklahoma members with the rest of the organization.
