Private pesticide applicator education session available during the OKFB Annual Meeting Nov. 5

October 19, 2021

Oklahoma Farm Bureau will host a private pesticide applicator continuing education session at the OKFB Annual Meeting Friday, Nov. 5, at 3 p.m.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Code of Federal Regulations part 171 requires applicators to receive education units after receiving the license.

Dr. Todd Baughman, Oklahoma State University professor and weed scientist; Dr. John Long, Oklahoma State University associate professor and Oklahoma extension ag engineer; and Misha Manuchehri, Oklahoma State University assistant professor and Oklahoma extension weed scientist will lead the continuing education session for OKFB members.

Farm Bureau members in attendance will receive two credits while learning about long-term management of winter annual grass weeds in wheat, proper spray equipment setup and cleanout, and an auxin herbicide update.

For more information about the continuing education session, contact Melisa Neal at (405) 523-2300.
