USMCA a victory for Oklahoma farmers

January 16, 2020

Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Rodd Moesel released the following statement after the U.S. Senate approved the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

“Today’s long-awaited approval of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement is a welcome victory for farmers and ranchers across Oklahoma. After years of battling low prices, high production costs and challenging weather, the historic trade deal brings a small piece of hope to farmers by preserving crucial markets for agricultural products with our closest trade partners.

“Oklahoma Farm Bureau members are grateful for the support of Sen. Jim Inhofe and Sen. James Lankford, and are hopeful the USMCA’s approval will lead to continued progress on trade agreements across the globe.”
