Farm Bureau members, counties honored at OKFB’s 84th annual meeting

Oklahoma Farm Bureau honored achievements and accomplishments of the organization’s members during the past year at OKFB’s annual awards banquet held Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City. Awards were presented to county Farm Bureaus for outstanding achievement in advocating for agriculture and Oklahoma’s rural communities with Presidential Star Awards, the John I. Taylor Award, the Lewis H. Munn Award and more. Awards were also given to young farmers and ranchers, members of Oklahoma’s agriculture community, and nine farm and ranch families who were recognized for upholding our state’s richest agricultural traditions. OKFB YF&R names discussion meet winners

Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers named the winners of four discussion meet competitive events on Friday, Nov. 7, during the organization’s 84th annual meeting in Oklahoma City. Celine Walker of Comanche County was named the 2025 winner of the YF&R Discussion Meet, Ryne Crosthwait of Oklahoma State University was named the 2025 Collegiate Farm Bureau Discussion Meet winner, and Katelee Martin of Alva was named the High School Discussion Meet winner. The Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at Oklahoma State University was honored with the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Moesel Award on Friday, Nov. 7, during the organization’s 84th annual meeting in Oklahoma City. The Moesel Award recognizes the top Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter that works to improve their local chapter while strengthening the Farm Bureau organization. 2025 Moesel Award

The 2025 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Moesel Award is now open through Wednesday, October 15. The Moesel award recognizes the top Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter that works to improve their local committees while strengthening the Farm Bureau organization. Each Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter is encouraged to participate by describing the chapter’s activities and events throughout the year, no matter how large or small the scope. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Charles L. Roff Award application is now open through Wednesday, Oct. 15. The Charles L. Roff Award recognizes the top county YF&R committee who works to improve their local committees while strengthening the Farm Bureau organization. Applications for the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Achievement Award and Excellence in Agriculture Award are now open through Wednesday, Oct. 15. The YF&R Achievement Award recognizes YF&R members who have excelled in their farm or ranch, and have taken an active role in Farm Bureau programs and activities. Participants are involved in production agriculture with a majority of their income subject to normal production risks. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee has awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to one high school senior from each OKFB district and a $1,000 scholarship to a Collegiate Farm Bureau member. OKFB YF&R committee collects more than 2,000 pounds of food with Fill the Sack food drive

Fill The Sack Food Drive Results

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee gathered more than 2,000 pounds of food plus cash donations to help feed Oklahomans facing food insecurity through the committee’s Fill the Sack food drive. Applications are now open through April 15 for Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture Conference taking place May 27-30, 2025, in Oklahoma City. OYLA us a multi-day conference hosted each summer by the OKFB Young Farmers and Ranchers committee for a select group of our state’s top agriculture. OYLA is open to high school students completing their junior year in 2025. The conference is designed to expand the horizons of top agriculture students through hands-on activities, agriculture-related tours, leadership development projects and engaging speakers from across the agriculture spectrum. OKFB hosts successful 83rd annual meeting

Oklahoma Farm Bureau members from across the state gathered Nov. 8-10 at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City for the organization’s 83rd annual meeting where they elected new leaders, set organizational policy for the coming year, recognized outstanding members and learned from speakers. “We had a really wonderful convention this year,” said OKFB President Rodd Moesel. “Everybody enjoyed the chance to fellowship and visit with one another and address the issues of the day during the resolutions sessions.
