More than 60 Oklahoma Farm Bureau members gathered for the annual Young Farmers and Ranchers summer conference held July 10 – 12 in Oklahoma City. Conference participants had the opportunity to tour local agricultural facilities in the Oklahoma City metro area. American Plant Products and Services, owned by OKFB President Rodd Moesel, serves as a wholesale plant product company that provides greenhouse construction as well as horticulture necessities to universities and commercial entities nationwide. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee has awarded eight high school seniors with a $1,000 college scholarship. Each year the OKFB YF&R committee presents $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors pursuing a degree in agriculture at an Oklahoma accredited institution of higher learning and is available to all members of Oklahoma Farm Bureau. “Each of these scholarship recipients represents the bright future of Oklahoma agriculture and our rural communities,” said Nocona Cook, OKFB YF&R chairman. “The YF&R committee could not be more proud to support these students as they blaze their own path in agriculture.” The eight […]

The deadline for students to apply to receive one of nine $1,000 college scholarships from the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee has been extended to April 30, 2020. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members ages 18 to 35 are invited to attend the organization’s Young Famers and Ranchers Legislative Day held Feb. 17 in Oklahoma City. The event is an opportunity for YF&R members to promote agriculture and rural Oklahoma at the state Capitol and learn more about Farm Bureau policy. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee raised $8,000 to benefit the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture at their 2019 shotgun shoot at Quail Ridge Shooting Sports near McLoud on Saturday, Sept. 21. A total of 18 teams from around the state competed in the shoot, which featured 13 sporting clays stations.
