The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee invites Farm Bureau members ages 18-35 to attend the YF&R summer conference July 28-30 in Oklahoma City. The conference will offer YF&R members the chance to meet farmers and ranchers from across the state, tour local agricultural facilities around Oklahoma City and Guthrie and learn more about YF&R leadership opportunities and programs. Twenty incoming high school seniors were selected to attend the 2023 Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference June 13-16 in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference is hosted by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee to instill leadership skills and provide attendees a deeper look into Oklahoma agriculture. The conference features a variety speakers, team-building opportunities, and media communications training. OKFB YF&R award applications open
Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers recognize members each year for their achievements through several awards, and applications for these awards are now open. The YF&R committee is opening applications for the YF&R Achievement Award, YF&R Excellence in Agriculture Award and the YF&R Discussion Meet. This year, the committee will select two winners for both award areas in 2023 – one to compete at the 2024 American Farm Bureau Convention and one to compete at the 2025 American Farm Bureau Convention – to give the state winners ample time to prepare for the AFBF award competitions. OKFB YF&R awards ten $1,000 scholarships
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee recently awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to a high school senior from each OKFB district and one $1,000 scholarship to a Collegiate Farm Bureau member. Oklahoma high school students completing their junior year in 2023 are invited to apply for the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference held June 13-16 in Oklahoma City. Nearly 20 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership and Young Farmers and Ranchers members attended the American Farm Bureau FUSION Conference March 3-6 in Jacksonville, FL. Farm Bureau members ages 18-35 are encouraged to attend the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Legislative Day April 11 at the state Capitol in Oklahoma City. Farmers, ranchers and rural Oklahomans will join their fellow YF&R members as they work to promote agriculture at the state Capitol and learn more about Farm Bureau policy. YF&R scholarship applications now open
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee is now accepting applications for their annual $1,000 for nine high school seniors and one Collegiate Farm Bureau member pursing an agriculture degree. Scholarships will be awarded to one high school student in every OKFB district and one college or university student with an active Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter. Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers named the winners of three discussion meet competitive events on Saturday, Nov. 12 during the organization’s 81st annual meeting in Norman. Dillon Johnson of Ottawa County Farm Bureau was named the winner of the 2022 YF&R Discussion Meet, and Taylor Fent of Northeastern Oklahoma College was named the 2022 Collegiate Farm Bureau Discussion Meet winner.
