Newly-elected state leaders to address Farm Bureau members at annual meeting

Oklahoma Farm Bureau members gathered for the organization’s 77th annual meeting Nov. 16-18 will hear from Gov.-Elect Kevin Stitt, Lt. Gov.-Elect Matt Pinnell and Attorney General Mike Hunter. Stitt is scheduled to appear in a pre-recorded video during a general session on Saturday morning, Nov. 17, while Pinnell and Hunter will address members on-stage during the opening session on Friday, Nov. 16. More than 80 percent of OKAgFund-supported candidates elected

The OKAgFund, Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s political action committee, achieved an 84 percent success rate in supporting candidates who were successful in the Nov. 6 general election. The committee was 100 percent successful in backing statewide candidates who were elected including Gov.-elect Kevin Stitt, Lt. Congressional delegates earn Friend of Farm Bureau Award

Five members of Oklahoma’s congressional delegation recently were honored with the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Friend of Farm Bureau Award for their efforts to support Oklahoma farmers and ranchers during the 115th U.S. Congress. Sen. Jim Inhofe, along with Rep. Tom Cole, Rep. Frank Lucas, Rep. Markwayne Mullin and Rep. Foundation announces name change to Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture

The Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation board of directors recently announced the non-profit foundation has changed its name to the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. With the support of Oklahoma Farm Bureau members and friends throughout the agriculture industry, the foundation has worked to promote agriculture, educate consumers, and support rural communities since its founding. Mielke named vice president of communications and public relations

Oklahoma Farm Bureau members from across the state are invited to gather with fellow members at OKFB’s 77th Annual Meeting to be held Nov. 16-18 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Norman, Oklahoma. As the organization’s largest annual gathering, the annual meeting provides an opportunity to celebrate Farm Bureau achievements, elect OKFB leaders, set policy for the next year, fellowship with friends from around the state and more. OKFB Legal Foundation, other ag organizations file application in support of private property rights

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Legal Foundation, along with a coalition of agricultural organizations, this week filed an application supporting private property rights in a lawsuit between county commissioners and oil and gas companies.   The Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association recently sued the Kingfisher County commissioners in the Oklahoma Supreme Court after the commissioners banned oil and gas companies from placing temporary produced-water pipelines in bar ditches along county roads. The OKFB Legal Foundation, along with Kingfisher County Farm Bureau, Oklahoma Farmers Union, Kingfisher County Farmers Union and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association, filed an amicus curiae application in the case to […]

OKAgFund endorses Stitt for governor, expands support for other candidates

The OKAgFund, Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s grassroots political action committee, has endorsed Kevin Stitt in the Oklahoma gubernatorial election following a meeting of the board on Thursday, Aug. 30.  A grassroots committee comprised of OKFB members from around the state, the OKAgFund contributed an additional $29,500 in financial support to statewide candidates. WLC, Foundation partner to donate accurate ag books to teachers

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and OKFB’s Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation have partnered to sponsor the 2018 Bushels for Books program, which awards teachers and school librarians bushel baskets of accurate agriculture books to be used in their classrooms and libraries across the state. Selected by the OKFB WLC, the books will cover various agriculture topics based on the grade levels receiving the books. Most books are elementary age appropriate. Each year, Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers recognize members for their achievements through several awards presented at the OKFB Annual Meeting to be held Nov. 16-18, 2018 in Norman. OKFB YF&R members are encouraged to apply for the awards, due to the home office by Oct. 1.
