The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee will host students from across the state at the group’s annual Oklahoma State Fair Livestock Judging Contest on Sept. 13 at the state fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. on Sept. 13 in Barn 3. The contest will begin at 10 a.m. in Barn 8. Contestants may compete on a team or as individuals. Three nursing students awarded $500 scholarships from WLC
Cade Baldwin of Stephens County, Cheyanne Gibbens of Okmulgee County and Logan Hukill of Caddo County each recently were awarded a scholarship to study nursing by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee. The annual scholarship program awards three $500 scholarships to students studying nursing at an accredited college, university, vo-tech or trade school. OKFB joins opposition to SQ 788
Oklahoma Farm Bureau this week has joined a group of statewide business, medical, faith and community leaders in opposing State Question 788 on the June 26 primary ballot. SQ 788 would amend Oklahoma state statutes to legalize medical marijuana. OKFB joined the SQ 788 is Not Medical Coalition, following a vote by the organization’s board of directors.
