Oklahoma Farm Bureau leaders from across the state will gather in Oklahoma City March 6-7 for the annual OKFB Legislative Leadership Conference. Held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, the two-day conference will feature state and federal agricultural policy updates, a reception with state leaders and lawmakers, and more. OKFB encourages members to sign up for action alerts
Oklahoma Farm Bureau has launched a new action alert tool to help members advocate for agriculture and rural Oklahoma at the state Capitol. Members now can sign up to receive an alert when legislators need to be contacted about an issue. To receive action alerts, sign up online here or text “JOIN” to 405-400-0311. OKFB president praises WIIN Act
The U.S. Senate today gave final approval to the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act. The WIIN Act contains the Water Resources Development Act of 2016, which authorizes investment in ports, locks, dams and other water infrastructure improvements across the country. The measure also includes Oklahoma’s water rights agreement between the states, Oklahoma City and the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations. Bushels for Books awards presented
Five educators from Oklahoma elementary schools were honored during the Flapjack Fundraiser for the Bushels for Books program at the Cox Convention Center on Saturday, November 12. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members from across the state met in Oklahoma City Nov. 11-13 where they elected new leaders, set organizational policy for the coming year and recognized the contributions of outstanding members with numerous awards.
