The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee is set to host the annual high school, collegiate and YF&R discussion meets at the OKFB Annual Meeting at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City. The high school discussion meet will be held Thursday, Nov. 9 and is open to all Oklahoma high school students. OKFB YF&R hosts successful state fair livestock judging contest
Nearly 1,600 4-H and FFA students put their skills to the test at the 2023 Oklahoma State Fair Livestock Judging Contest, hosted by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee, on Thursday, Sept. 21 in Oklahoma City. Students in third grade through 12th grade evaluated market and breeding classes of cattle, sheep, goats and hogs. Oklahoma Farm Bureau is gearing up for another year at the Oklahoma State Fair with an exciting lineup of events for 2023. Farmhand Olympics New this year, OKFB will host an evening of farmhand Olympics on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 6-8 p.m. in the Barn 3 Auditorium at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. YF&R members gather for summer conference in Oklahoma City
More than 50 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers gathered in Oklahoma City for the YF&R Summer Conference July 28-30. Farm Bureau members ages 18-35 toured local agricultural facilities, competed in a discussion meet and networked with fellow farmers and ranchers during the three-day event. Oklahoma Farm Bureau is proud to launch the Cultivating Healthy Minds program webinar series to bring awareness to mental health in Oklahoma’s agriculture community. The program includes three live webinars, each featuring a speaker with expertise in promoting positive mental wellbeing in Oklahomans and the agriculture industry. OKFB YF&R to host shotgun shoot fundraiser Aug. 26
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee invites Farm Bureau members and supporters to participate in the fifth-annual shotgun shoot Aug. 26 at Silverleaf Shotgun Sports in Guthrie. The fundraising event will benefit the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture, which strives to connect consumers of all ages with farmers and ranchers to further their understanding of where the food, fuel and fiber comes from. Students selected to attend OKFB youth conference
Twenty incoming high school seniors were selected to attend the 2023 Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference June 13-16 in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference is hosted by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee to instill leadership skills and provide attendees a deeper look into Oklahoma agriculture. The conference features a variety speakers, team-building opportunities, and media communications training.
