OKFB convention trade show vendors announced

Each year, the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Convention Trade Show is held as a part of the organization’s annual meeting. Nearly 25 vendors are registered and the list continues to grow. The vendors range from jewelry to tractors and everything in between. Make sure to browse through the trade show this year! Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation to sponsor Oklahoma Honor Flight

The Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation will sponsor one of the final Oklahoma Honor Flights, departing from Midwest City, Oklahoma, on Oct. 21. Oklahoma Honor Flights has served Oklahoma World War II veterans for the past six years by transporting them to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifice. Women’s Leadership Committee to host fall rally Oct. 30-31

Susie McEntire to speak, sing at OKFB convention worship service

  Susie McEntire, country gospel singer, will entertain members during the 2015 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Annual Meeting memorial and worship service.  McEntire, the younger sister of country music singer Reba McEntire, was raised on an Oklahoma ranch. She began singing as a teenager with her siblings, Pake and Reba. After graduating from Oklahoma State University, McEntire continued singing with her country superstar sister.  The two sisters performed concerts for sold-out crowds and made television appearances on various programs such as “Hee Haw” and “The Grand Ole Opry.” After several years, Susie decided to begin singing gospel music.  Over the years, […]

Today, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary nationwide stay preventing implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Waters of the United States rule. Looking back upon years of OKFB’s Agriculture First program

After almost two decades of sharing agriculture stories, Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Agriculture First radio program has come to an end.  OKFB’s Sam Knipp produced more than 4,900 radio shows as part of the series spanning years of agriculture news, advancements and progress. Oklahoma Farm Bureau volunteers to host Ten Commandments monument

Oklahoma Farm Bureau and Affiliated Companies today offered to host Oklahoma’s Ten Commandments monument at its home office near the state Capitol at 2501 N. Stiles Ave. in Oklahoma City. The nonpartisan organization extended the offer to Gov. Mary Fallin, Attorney General Scott Pruitt and state Rep. Mike Ritze, whose family paid for the monument’s construction. “Faith has always been of utmost importance to Oklahoma Farm Bureau members,” said Monica Wilke, OKFB executive director. “We are proud to give the monument a home until the Legislature is able to take further action to find a permanent location for the monument.” […]

Lorrie Morgan to perform at OKFB convention

Country music singer Lorrie Morgan will entertain Oklahoma Farm Bureau members at the 2015 Annual Meeting on Nov. 14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A singer, songwriter, worldwide entertainer and producer, Morgan has sold over six million records and has attained 14 top ten hits, 12 recorded albums and four Female Vocalist of the Year awards.  At the age of 24, Morgan became the youngest person ever to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Rep. Frank Lucas to speak at OKFB convention

Frank Lucas to its 2015 Annual Meeting as he speaks during the opening session of convention on Friday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. With more than 20 years of experience in Congress, Lucas will discuss current issues in Washington, D.C., that affect agriculture and rural Oklahoma.
