Okmulgee County Farm Bureau members accept the 2024 Charles L. Roff Award for top county YF&R program from OKFB President Rodd Moesel during the 2024 OKFB Annual Meeting Awards Banquet Saturday, Nov. 9 in Oklahoma City.

The Okmulgee County Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee was honored with the 2024 Oklahoma Farm Bureau YF&R Charles L. Oklahoma Farm Bureau presented the OKFB County Excellence Award to Mayes and Okmulgee County Farm Bureaus on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the organization’s 83rd annual meeting in Oklahoma City. Modeled after the American Farm Bureau Federation’s County Activities of Excellence Award, this award recognizes county Farm Bureaus with the most outstanding or unique local program, activity or event. Oklahoma Farm Bureau honored achievements and accomplishments of the organization’s members during the past year at OKFB’s annual awards banquet held Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City. Awards were presented to county Farm Bureaus for outstanding achievement in advocating for agriculture and Oklahoma’s rural communities with county star awards, the John I. Taylor Award, the Lewis H. Munn Award and more. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members elected two new state board members on Saturday, Nov. 9, during the organization’s 83rd annual meeting in Oklahoma City. Jimmy Taylor of Roger Mills County was elected to serve as the new District 2 director. He will serve a three-year term representing Beckham, Custer, Greer, Harmon, Kiowa, Jackson, Roger Mills, Tillman and Washita counties. Taylor and his wife, Tracy, own a cow-calf operation where they raise 600 angus females on 12,000 acres in Cheyenne. Oklahoma Farm Bureau recently presented its District Administrator of the Year Awards at the organization’s 83rd annual meeting Nov. 8-10 in Oklahoma City. The Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at Southwestern Oklahoma State University was honored with the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Moesel Award on Friday, Nov. 8, during the organization’s 83rd annual meeting in Oklahoma City. Justiss joins OKFB staff as assistant director of research and regulatory affairs

Oklahoma Farm Bureau has named Trace Justiss to serve as the organization’s assistant director of research and regulatory affairs. In his new position, Justiss will work in the organization’s public policy department to support the advocacy efforts of Farm Bureau and the OKFB Legal Foundation.
