The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers is set to host their third annual shotgun shoot Aug. 28 at Quail Ridge Hunting and Sporting Clays in McLoud, Oklahoma. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture, which strives to connect consumers of all ages with individuals who work daily to produce their food and fiber. Farm Bureau members ages 18 to 35 are invited to attend the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Summer Conference to be held July 30-31 in Broken Bow. The two-day conference will offer YF&R members the chance to meet farmers and ranchers from across the state, tour local agricultural facilities and learn more about YF&R leadership opportunities and programs. Kalley Whitlock, a sophomore at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M college, recently earned the inaugural Collegiate Farm Bureau scholarship presented by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee has awarded nine $1,000 college scholarships to high school seniors. Jenny Haken of Payne County Farm Bureau was named the winner of the 2020 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet held in conjunction with the group’s caucus on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Oklahoma City. OKFB supports ag youth at 2020 Tulsa State Fair premium sale
Oklahoma Farm Bureau helped support the state’s agriculture youth by purchasing $30,000 in premiums at the 2020 Tulsa State Fair Night of Champions Premium Sale.
